There was an episode of the "Golden Girls" where Dorothy wasn't quite feeling right. She didn't know what it was, but she knew something was wrong. She was tired, couldn't concentrate, and basically was out of sorts. She went to doctors to see if they could find anything wrong with her. All the tests came back normal. They told her that there was nothing wrong with her and suggested that she seek psychiatric help. Finally, Dorothy went to a doctor who diagnosed her as having chronic fatigue syndrome. He pointed out to her that many doctors do not even acknowledge that this disease exists, but it does. He made some suggestions to her as to how to treat it, as there was no cure and nobody really understood what causes it.
